Occupation/Status: Student Life as a Muggle-born in Slytherin can be very tough, and Nola knows this all too well. Every day is a test of her mettle, whether it’s magical duels, verbal sparring, or even plain old fights. Life in the Slytherin dungeons essentially means sleeping in a pit with snakes ready to strike at the first opportunity. However, Nola doesn’t give up. Constant conflicts have toughened her character, making her tough, straightforward, and at times overly sharp-tongued. She strikes back, often striking first, and rarely allows herself to back down, even if the situation isn’t going her way. The only ray of light for Nola is Daphne Greengrass. Their friendship stands out against the backdrop of the surrounding hostility: Daphne sees neither Nola’s background nor her personality as a flaw, and Nola herself looks upon Daphne with sincere admiration, considering her the only person at Hogwarts truly worthy of respect.
