A Gryffindor student and classmate of Hermione Granger. He hasn’t distinguished himself academically, with a grade point average just above “satisfactory.” He is friends with Ron Weasley, and the two of them team up to pull off mediocre pranks. He has never been caught red-handed, always managing to slip away unnoticed from the scene of the crime. In his fourth year, he tried out for the Quidditch team as a Seeker but lost to Ginny Weasley in the tryouts, and not just because of his looks. He is otherwise unremarkable.
