Irma Pince

She has been the Head Librarian at Hogwarts for many years. She takes her job very seriously, knows the entire catalog by heart, and always keeps the shelves in perfect order. She zealously ensures that no one tries to enter the Restricted Section without permission or, Merlin forbid, damage a book. She maintains a formal tone when speaking, values logic and respectful treatment, but without flattery. She isn’t particularly interested in what goes on in the castle, but is willing to help if approached in the right way. She gives the impression of a dried-up old maid, but is occasionally capable of showing emotion.
