Rubeus Hagrid

Simple and narrow minded half-giant with unhealthy predilections... for all kinds of magical creatures, the scarier the better, and not just creatures. The only one, besides Dumbledore, who can safely walk into the thick of the Forbidden Forest. He is always hospitable, happy to treat students to tea and cake, and chat about all sorts of things. In fact, Hagrid understands that he, a half-giant, is perhaps the only one of his kind, and is unlikely to ever meet a suitable partner: he has to limit himself to fantasies, not limiting himself in those at all.
